    Marathon & Beyond, a 16-year-old, international, bimonthly magazine for long-distance runners, is the brainchild of Richard Benyo. His co-owner is publisher Jan Colarusso Seeley.

    Rich Benyo – Editor

    • Executive editor of Runner’s World magazine from 1977 to 1984
    • Author of more than 20 books, including Death Valley 300, Running Past 50, and Timeless Running Wisdom
    • Runner for 40 years, including 37 marathons
    • First person to run from Death Valley to the peak of Mount Whitney and back
    • Co-race director and board president of the Napa Valley Marathon

     

    Jan Seeley – Publisher

    • Former editor at the publishing company Human Kinetics
    • Runner for 38 years; marathon and ultramarathon finisher
    • Yale graduate; holds master’s degree in English from the University of Illinois
    • Four-year member of the U.S. National Field Hockey Team, 1979-1982
    • Co-race director of the Illinois Marathon

     

    Jenny Stinson – Sales & Marketing Director

    • Former marketing consultant at McDougal Littell, educational publisher
    • Runner for 16 years, including 20 marathons and 22 ultramarathons
    • LSU graduate; holds master’s degree from Centenary College of Louisiana
    • Race director of the Foothills 50K Frenzy trail ultramarathon in Boise, Idaho

     

    Peggy Stierwalt – Office Manager

    • Runner for 30 years, including 9 marathons and an Ironman triathlon
    • Southern Illinois University graduate; holds master’s degree from Eastern Illinois University
    • First ever member of high school cross country team to bring a horse to practice (horse was an excellent pacer)
